Caution: Bulldogs on Fire

With their second road victory in two years, Georgia signaled to the world, "WE ARE HERE!" In a year providing some of the wildest games and performances of recent memory, Jared Carter was sent packing in one of the most pathetic games in my lifetime. With everything on the line, UK needed to simply win in Rupp against the worst team in the league, a team they had destroyed six weeks ago, and they couldn't do it.

Georgia finished Wednesday night hitting 50% from the field, nearly 70% from 3 pt. range (11-16), and over 83% from the foul line. Not exactly the type of defensive performance you need when your season is on the line. With many other bubble teams around the country losing this week, this loss hurts a bit more. Everything was falling into place for a run at a post-season berth, but it was not to be. With two All-American type players on any team, this cannot happen. Something is not right here. I've defended Gillispie as much as anymore, but Clyde's on his own after this embarrassment. He's gonna say, "We weren't tough. We got whipped. Its my fault," but that act is old and tired. Try something new Coach.

Tom Crean sure is looking good right about now.

By the way, anyone else noticing how Patterson has ramped his game up over the last few games (post injury)? Something is telling me he is playing for something -- a payday possibly? Later Pat. I don't blame you.

  1. I changed my votes. Did you see PPat and BCG getting into it after PPat fouled that guy late in the game?

  2. Yup. Then the guy missed both free throws. He knew more about what to do than the Coach. He's outta here. No reason to put up with all that jazz if you can get paid for doing the same thing.
