Puttin' the hammer down!

WARNING: Looking back on the title/picture combo of this post, it could be taken in a dirty way, but we're above that, right?

Anyway, John Clay speaks of the potential meetings between Lee Todd, Barnhart, and Gillispie by saying, "If I could sit in on either meeting, I'd have just one piece of advice." He follows this up with a seven part answer, which seems to me more than the "one" piece of advice, but does have some validity and good points.

Ol' Tom Beisner at KSR gives everyone a TripTik for this weekend's SEC Tournament in Tampa. He's lived there for the past two years and his posts are funny, so you should trust him. Beisner lets you know what parts of town you can expect to get shot when visiting strip clubs historical landmarks. He also gives you inside info on Tampa taxi service, things to do when if we get beat, and where to go for the UK Pep Rally.

And finally, Steve Moss of WKYT.com is letting us know UK is quietly making NIT plans. Ugh, the previous sentence was very hard to type. He says Kentucky is willing to host a first round NIT game, but since the Sweet 16 will be going on, it would need to be in Memorial. Ah, so that's what all those people with "inside sources" were talking about back in the late 1990s about UK playing a game in Memorial. Kudos fellas! Who looks stupid now?

Good day.
