March 15th: On this day...

...in 1992, Kentucky returned from two-year probation to face Alabama in the SEC Championship game. After trailing 32-29 at halftime, the Cats took the Tide to the shed in the second fame, destroying Alabama 80-54. Jamal Mashburn only missed two shots on his way to SEC Tourney MVP with a 28 pts-13 reb performance. This was the first of four straight SEC titles for the Cats. Alabama had won three straight SEC Tournaments before this day behind stars such as James "Hollywood" Robinson, Latrell "Choke My Coach" Sprewell, Robert "not slutty, but" Horry.
