March 12th: On this day...
... in 1995, the #5 Cats clawed back from 19 down against rival #3 Arkansas to win the SEC Tournament 95-93 in overtime. With the score tied at 80, Rodrick Rhodes stepped to the line with 1.3 seconds left and missed both free throws, sending the game to overtime. During the extra frame, Rhodes sat on the bench with a towel over his head, never to reenter the game. Arkansas built the lead to nine in overtime with under two minutes left, before a Delk three and two steals sent UK charging into the lead for good. When asked how he was feeling after the game, Mark Pope said it was "basketball heaven."
