- John Wall will (or won't) be narrowing his list of schools down and choose a college to attend at some point before October. The leaders are thought to be Kentucky (go for basketball), Miami (go for scenery), and possibly Duke (
go for the girlsstay close to home). From my vantage point, you gotta think Wall is waiting to receive his test scores. If he chooses a school now, then finds out he doesn't have the scores to get in, his "street cred" might take a hit. You cannot convince me an 18-19 year old kid wants to go play in Europe. They will if they can't get into school, but they don't grow up watching European March Madness. - Jodie Meeks said he was going through the entire pre-draft process if for no other reason than the experience. There is no pressure on him to decide immediately, and he shouldn't. He added if he was a 2nd round pick, he'll be back. We want him back and he knows what's waiting on him in Lexington in 2009-10.
"I love playing at Kentucky," Jodie said, "If this doesn't work out, I have no problem coming back. ... and if I'm in the second round, it'll be a no-brainer to go back."
- Prepare for Coach Cal's new website. He and the University are putting together a "web page that ends all web pages". Oh, and speaking of world domination.......
