Professional team coming to Lexington!!!!

Kyle Macy has been chosen to coach the new ABA team coming to Lexington. The 30 game season, starting in November, will be named - (drum roll) - the Bluegrass Stallions. Season tickets for a family of four will cost $450 (buy 3, get 1 free). Unique rules of the ABA include:

  • Any shot taken from beyond half-court, which could happen in a buzzer-beating situation, is worth four points.
  • If a team comes up with a steal, then converts on its next shot, an extra point will be awarded. For example, a layup would be worth three points, a three-pointer worth four points, but only on the first shot after the steal.
  • Seven seconds to get the ball beyond half-court.

Hmm, that's different. Its got to be the worst timing in history and I can't imagine any of this will work, but at least its different. I can only hope they draft Jared Carter.
