Miller Time - CATS pound Vols 78-57

Darius Miller showed Tennessee why he was named Kentucky's Mr. Basketball, not Scotty Hopson. Miller was a perfect 6-6 from the field (3-3 from long range) and 2-2 from the charity stripe. His play was the difference as Tennessee kept Jodie Meeks (14 pts) tied up for most of the game. Miller added 6 assists and 3 rebounds in what was easily his best game as a Cat. Patrick Patterson came back from a 2 game layoff with 17 points on 9-12 shooting. A very promising game by Darius and Co. in what was a must win to keep NCAA Tourney hopes alive. This gives the CATS a sweep against Tennessee, a team most see as a lock for the Tourney.

  1. Tennessee said they weren't going to let Meeks beat them. They didn't. What a game for Miller and Patterson. Hope they can keep it up. As for Meeks, his statline doesn't come close to the points that resulted from the Vols face guard/double team strategy. Still got 14.........
