Yanks Take Down #1 Spain

19-year old Jozy Atlidore (17) leads the way.

In an upset of epic proportions, the U.S. has taken down the world's top-ranked team, Spain, 2-0 in a semifinal of the Confederations Cup in South Africa. Jozy Altidore had the game clinching goal midway through the first half and Clint Dempsey added a goal late to put the game out of reach. Uncle Sam's team takes on the winner of Brazil-South Africa Sunday in the Cup Final.

While this is not a USA/USSR hockey type upset, it's easily a top two or three win in USA soccer history.

The loss ended a 35 game win streak for Spain dating back to 2006. Spain will play the loser of Brazil-South Africa in the consolation match.
