Darius Miller Continues World Domination

The United States of America has invited Darius Miller to play basketball for them. Don't worry, he will still play for UK this fall, but his summer is now booked. He was one of twelve players to make the Under-19 Team USA for play in New Zealand next month.

Once again your Coach has his fingerprints all over this roster, as it includes two youngsters from Kentucky (Darius and Shelvin Mack of Bryan Station/Butler fame) and two youngsters from Memphis, TN. Therefore one-third of the team has some sort of tie to UK, only because everything revolves around anything with a Kentucky tie.

No word from the NCAA yet on whether or not they are looking into the situation. If we've learned anything from the punishments set forth for Florida State, Alabama, and UCONN, it's that they will probably discontinue the basketball program at Kentucky. I mean seriously, were these schools even punished?

Andy Katz has a writeup about the selection process and USAbasketball.com has feature all about Darius during the tryout. Well done Darius, please don't get hurt.

Sources say they will take a getaway to the innards of New Zealand and do a remake of Lord of the Rings, except with tall people.

Go Cats.
