... in 2008, Kentucky alum J.B. Holmes struck again on Day 2 of the Ryder Cup. He and teammate Boo Weekley teamed to earn a point in the afternoon session of Saturday’s Four Ball. Holmes 15 foot birdie putt on the par-5 7th gave the Americans a 2 Up lead. The 2005 SEC Player of the Year was conceded eagle a few holes later on the par-5 10th to give the pairing a commanding 3 Up lead. Holmes and Weekley would win the match, giving the 26-year old his first Ryder Cup victory.
