The Road in Nashville

With yesterday's win at Vanderbilt, it essentially gives your University of Kentucky Wildcats a three game lead with four game remaining. And while I think we'll be tested in each of the remaining games, the magic number of two wins seems very reachable. With this information at our disposal, it looks as though Big Blue Nation won't be enjoying any evening games while
in Nashville.

The schedule for the top seed in the SEC East is as follows:
  • Friday - 1:00pm EST
  • Saturday - 1:00pm EST
  • Sunday - 1:00pm EST

The current games currently look like this:

  • Friday - South Carolina/Auburn
  • Saturday - Tennessee/Arkansas
  • Sunday - Whatever trash is left over (Vandy/Mississippi State/Florida, etc)

Obviously much of this can change as Florida and Tennessee are tied at 8-4, but the Vols hold the tiebreak. They play Tuesday night on ESPN and should give us a better look of how things will shake out. Arkansas and Mississippi State are also tied atop the West with the Bulldogs holding the tiebreak.

I'm not gonna lie, the late night atmosphere is always fun for the fans, but I'm sure the players would enjoy a routine the same time each day a bit more. This is the price we pay for having a 26-1 record. Suck it up.

Here is the 2010 SEC Tournament bracket from SECSports.com.

Go Cats.
